ON 20 JUNE, WE CELEBRATE THE WORLD REFUGEE DAY

On 20 June, we celebrate the World Refugee Day in an expression of empathy and solidarity with the plight of millions of people forced to flee their homelands due to conflict and persecution. World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. It was held globally for the first time on 20 June 2001 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees.

To commemorate the day, we would like to share a video, produced by a fellow organization, featuring refugees and migrants who have decided to settle in Sofia. You can view the video here.
